Garner P. Johnson, MD FACS FACRS

Dr. Dr. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from Brown University in 1977. He earned his Medical Degree in 1982 from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis. Dr. Johnson attended the University of Chicago and later completed his Surgical Residency at the University of Massachusetts in 1987. He did a Research Fellowship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota and later completed a Colorectal Fellowship in 1989 at The Mayo School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson received additional Laporoscopic training at The University of Miami in Miami Florida in 1996.

Dr. Johnson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, The American Medical Association, The Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and The New York Colon and Rectal Society.

Dr. Johnson is affiliated with St. Peter's Hospital, Albany Memorial Hospital, Albany Medical Center, The Seton Health System, Samaritan Hospital, and St. Peter's Endoscopy and Surgery Center.
