Nora Yip, MD FACS FACRS

Dr. Nora Yip is originally from Rochester, NY and is a graduate of Cornell University where she earned a BS in Biological Sciences in 1996. She received her Medical Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2000 and completed her general surgical residency at the University of Connecticut in 2005. During her chief year, she won the Henry Mannix, Jr. MD Award for Academic Achievement. In June 2006, Dr. Yip completed her fellowship in colon and rectal surgery through the Grant Medical Center/OhioHealth Colon and Rectal Surgical Residency Program in Columbus, OH.

Dr. Yip has a special interest in performing procedures ranging from colonoscopy, stapled hemorrhoidectomy to laparoscopic intestinal surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Yip is board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery.
